Halloween Trick-or-Treat Events on the Square

Spooktacular Festivities Await!

Dear Residents and Friends,

The time has come once again for one of our most cherished traditions—Halloween on the Square.  We are delighted to announce that this year’s trick-or-treat events will fill the heart of our town with laughter, costumes, games, and the spirit of togetherness.

Event Details

Our annual Halloween celebration will take place downtown Celeste on the Square.  Mark your calendars for Friday, October 31st, when families, friends, and neighbors are invited to gather for a night of safe and memorable fun.

  • Date: Friday, October 31st
  • Time: 5:00 PM – Until the Candy and Fun run out.
  • Location: Downtown Celeste

Decorations will adorn every corner, with pumpkin lanterns, cobwebs, and friendly ghosts welcoming visitors.  Local community, businesses and organizations are welcome to participate, offering treats and surprises.

What to Expect

This year’s festivities promise a variety of activities for all ages, ensuring an unforgettable experience for every ghoul and goblin who attends.

  • Trick-or-Treat Trail: Wander along a safe, well-lit path through the square, collecting candy and goodies from participating businesses and volunteers.
  • Costume Contest: Show off your spooky, magical, or whimsical ensemble with prizes awarded in each category.
  • Photo Opportunities: Capture the magic of Halloween at themed photo stations scattered across the square.
  • Games & Activities: Enjoy Ghost Bean Bag Toss, Witches Hat ring toss, and other festive games with prizes for winners of all ages.

How to Participate

Participation is open to all members of the community. Local businesses and organizations interested in hosting a trick-or-treat station or vendor booth are encouraged to contact City Hall by October 13th.

  • Individuals and families: Simply arrive in costume and be ready for a night of delight!
  • Businesses or Individuals: Please register your booth by emailing citysecretary@cityofceleste.org or calling 903-568-4512.
  • Volunteers: Help make this event a success by signing up to assist with activities, safety, or setup.

Decorating Contest

Help transform the square into a Halloween wonderland! Enter our decorating contest for a chance to win special recognition and prizes. Judging will take place at 7:00 PM, with winners announced during the festivities.

Parking & Accessibility

Parking around the square with designated spaces for those with accessibility needs. We encourage walking or carpooling to help minimize congestion.

CHILI SUPPER FUNDRAISER!

Come out and support your Celeste Volunteer Fire Department at our annual Chili Supper & Raffle!

The event will be held on Saturday, November 1st, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church Gymnasium, located at 204 W. Cockrell Street, Celeste, TX 75423. We’ll be serving up some delicious chili with both dine-in and drive-thru options available. We kindly request a $10.00 donation per bowl.

We’re also holding a gun raffle! Tickets are $10.00 each or 3 for $25.00. To purchase a ticket, simply send us a direct message here on Facebook or reach out to one of your favorite volunteers. Details about the gun will be announced soon, so stay tuned!
