Tomorrow is the big day, we hope you all can join us for Jingle Around the Square downtown starting at 12:00pm. We will have food and craft vendors, local merchants, bounce house and free face painting for the kids.

1st Annual City of Celeste Holiday Decorating Contest

Who wouldn't want up to a $100.00 credit on their water bill this Christmas. The City is hosting a holiday decorating contest for our city merchants and residents. Applications are due in office by 3:00PM December 1st at City Hall. Entry is free and there will be recognition awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place and Honorable Mention. The 1st place winner in each category will receive up to a $100.00 credit on their water bill. Judging will take place December 18-20.

The City of Celeste Annual Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023. We will have events throughout the day starting at 12:00 PM, vendors, face painting, bounce house, pageant, with the parade at 6:00 and ending with pictures with Santa and Mrs. Clause at City Hall.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) disaster designation (Hunt County)

The USDA recently announced a disaster designation in Texas, the designated counties include Hunt County. Information on the USDA's disaster assistance program can be found at the attached link. www.farmers.gov/recover.

TOWN MEETING TO DISCUSS THE FARMERSVILLE ANNEXATION AND MDD ELECTION TONIGHT AT 6:30

Anyone impacted by the Farmersville Annexation and upcoming MDD Election is invited to attend a meeting this tonig, April 27th at 6:30 PM in the Celeste Junior High School gym. Let's come up with a plan, talk through ideas and rally together as a community. This will be an informational and educational meeting so we are better prepared.
Courtesy Notices for Water Utility Billing

Effective Monday, May 1, 2023, the City of Celeste will no longer post a courtesy notice at any residence for past due balances on water utility services.
Proposed Farmersville Municipal Development District Meeting Tonight

Notice: Questions are being asked concerning a recent annexation by the City of Farmersville, along the path of a hike and bike trail through Hunt County between Farmersville and Celeste and the corresponding creation of a Municipal Development District (MDD), which will be up for a vote May 6, but in Collin and not Hunt County. The annexation also has the effect of expanding the Farmersville Extra Territorial Jurisdiction (ETJ) one mile on either side of the trail.
