Welcome to the City of Celeste! We are delighted to have you join our rural community. Celeste is known for being a “Small Town with a Big Heart” and home to the Celeste Blue Devils.  As you settle into your new home, we want to make your transition as smooth as possible. Below, you’ll find helpful information and resources to guide you in becoming an active member of our city.

• City Hall: Located at 201 N. US Hwy. 69, City Hall is your go-to place for municipal services, including water and trash utility setup, permits, notary and our Police Department. Office hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM-12 PM and 1:00 PM–3:00 PM. After hours number for water or sewer emergencies is (903) 408-0149.
• Utilities: To set up water and waste collection, please visit our website at https://cityofceleste.org or call (903) 568-4512 Ext.2.
• New electric utility services https://www.choosetexaspower.org.
• Texas-New Mexico Power Outages (888) 886-7465 or https://tnmp.com/customers/power-outages-hazards.
• Atmos Energy Gas Services: (888) 286-6700 or https://www.atmosenergy.com.
• Emergency Services: For emergencies, dial 911. The Celeste Police Department can be reached at (903) 568-4040 for nonemergency services and Celeste Volunteer Fire Department can be reached at (903) 568-4713 for nonemergency services.

• Local Schools: Celeste boasts excellent public schools. For enrollment information, contact the Celeste School District at (903) 568-4721 or visit celesteisd.org.

• Food Pantries: There is a little food pantry located inside of City Hall or contact your local churches.

1. Trash Collection: Curbside pickup is every Wednesday. Please have your container at the curb by 7 AM. You are allowed (1) one bulk item per week.
2. Water bills are due by the 10^th of each month to avoid late fees. Cutoff for nonpayment is performed on the last Tuesday of each month.
3. City Council meetings are held at City Hall on the 2^nd Tuesday of each month.
