Citywide Cleanup Dumpsters

Citywide cleanup; one dumpster is available now, the 2nd should be here by tomorrow. Both are located on South 2nd Street: one positioned near the city shop and the other will be located by the water tower fence behind City Hall. These dumpsters are designated for City of Celeste customers who pay for trash services through the city; residents outside the City Limits are not permitted to use these facilities.
Please refrain from overfilling the dumpsters; staff will compact the contents daily until capacity is reached. Do not place any items around the dumpsters or leave materials on the ground. For enhanced security, camera surveillance is in operation at both locations.
The following items are prohibited in the dumpsters:
- Tube TVs and electronics
- Explosives
- Live ammunition
- Medical waste (including syringes)
- Pharmaceuticals
- Tires
- Batteries
- Chemicals
- Paint
- Appliances containing Freon
